(4) The development of stamping technology involves materials, energy, mould, equipment and other aspects. The innovation of process method and the scientific analysis and control of the process are the core of technology development; Die technology is the embodiment of stamping technology development, and it is an important factor determining the manufacturing cycle, cost and quality of products.
A large number of cold stamping processes are used in the production of automobile stamping parts, which are suitable for the needs of many kinds and mass production of automobile stamping parts industry. In medium and heavy vehicles, most of the covering parts such as the exterior panel of the body, and some load-bearing and supporting parts such as frame and carriage are automobile stamping parts. Stamping means that steel used for cold stamping is mainly steel plate and steel strip, accounting for 72.6% of the total vehicle steel consumption. Cold stamping material is closely related to the production of automobile stamping parts. The quality of materials not only determines the performance of the product, but also directly affects the process design of automobile stamping parts, and affects the quality, cost, service life and production organization of the products, Therefore, it is an important and complex work to choose materials reasonably.
In the downstream industry of mould, the use of the die in automobile manufacturing industry is large. In developed countries of automobile manufacturing industry such as the United States, Germany and Japan, the output value of automobile stamping die industry accounts for more than 40% of the total output value of the whole industry of the mold. In China, about 1/3 of the mold products serve the automobile manufacturing industry. Generally, more than 1000 to 1500 stamping dies are needed to produce a common car, accounting for about 40% of the total die output value required by the whole vehicle production.
Automobile stamping die is an important process equipment in automobile production, and its design and manufacturing time accounts for about 2/3 of the development cycle of automobile, which is one of the main constraints of automobile type change. Stamping means that the stamping die of automobile has the characteristics of large size, complex working surface and high technical standards, and belongs to the technology intensive products. In the past, single process die and compound die structure design was widely used in automobile stamping die. With the improvement of technology and equipment level, multi station die and progressive die which can reduce cost and improve production efficiency have been applied to the design and manufacture of automobile stamping die, which has become the development direction of automobile stamping die manufacturing technology.
